It’s hard to believe that we are at the end of another school year. The 2022-2023 school year was a great success. The students grew academically, spiritually and physically. We watched all our students grow in maturity and self-confidence within our safe and loving environment. The children are ready to move on to the next grade level.
We are so proud of our wonderful 8th graders! They are prepared for the next step in their education as they move on to high school! Congratulations to Christopher Baumler, Roman Clemson, Emma Drum, Jade Klein, Tatiana Rineer, Ellen Sakyiwaa-Yeboah and Chloe Strickler-Liles. They have been wonderful role models for the younger students! We wish them the best next year and we will miss them!
Every day we began with songs and prayer, living our Catholic faith daily with the children. We attended Mass every week on Fridays, the students had religion lessons each day, each class started with a prayer and we ended the day together in prayer. Thanks to Father Jim and his helpers, the preschool and kindergarten classes were able to visit the atrium for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: a wonderful program for our youngest students to learn about their faith!
We were so excited to win the Missionary Childhood Association mission award this year! We are grateful for our faculty: Miss Armstrong, Mrs. Edmiston, Mrs. Gerhard, Mrs. Hoffmann, Mrs. Eberly, Mrs. Touloumis, Mrs. Dodson, Miss Boyd, Mrs. DiNovis, Mrs. Pickett, Miss Peters, Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. Dresch, Mrs. Schneider, Mrs. Dreihaup, and Mrs. Rineer for their dedication to our students.
We are also grateful for our aides, Mrs. Lauer, Mrs. Rann, Mrs. Forsyth, Mrs. Flower, Mrs. Sweigert and Ms. Fryberger. The administrative staff, Mrs. Caramenico, Mrs. Francis, Mrs. Hartman, and Mrs. Kernaghan work tirelessly to keep our parents informed, answer any questions they may have and support the faculty as they work with the children. Of course, our cooks are the best, under the direction of our cafeteria manager, Mrs. Clemson!
The children and faculty thoroughly enjoy the lunches they serve. We are also grateful for our maintenance men, Mr. Sunny, Mr. Barry and Mr. Dave who keep things running and clean! Summer always seems to go so fast. Please enjoy the time off with your children. Encourage them to practice reading and math facts! Be safe!
Blessings,
Mrs. Peggy Snyder
