On Friday, May 5, we honored our Blessed Virgin Mary in a special May Crowning ceremony. The children gathered in front of the school, where Second Grade students Piper Bubb and Wyatt Flower crowned Mary. The school community then processed to the grotto, where Eighth Grade students Tatiana Rineer and Roman Clemson crowned the enthroned statue of Mary. Led by Father Jim and Mrs. Snyder, our school community sang songs and prayed the Holy Mary three times to our Blessed Mother before processing back from the grotto. We pray that Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, will watch over our families, our school, and our parish, showering her blessings upon us.
Congratulations to the OMPH School Second Grade class, including members from OMPH Parish as well as St. James in Lititz, who recently received their First Holy Communion! A special thank you to Mrs. Beth Eberly, Second Grade teacher, for preparing the children to receive this beautiful sacrament. May God bless you always! First Holy Communion Reflections from the OMPH School Second Grade Class will be featured in the next two School Scenes; we hope you enjoy these beautiful words from our students!
