Spring is a busy time of year at OMPH School, as we focus on Lenten activities leading to Easter and concentrate on finishing the school year strong! Each week on Friday during Lent, we join together as a school family for Stations of the Cross in the church. Led by our students, this is a time for reflection as we prepare for Jesus’ death and resurrection.
The OMPH 5th grade class, under the direction of Father Ed, shared a modern version of the Gospel of the Prodigal Son with our school community in March. Their version was a light-hearted look at the forgiveness we receive from God when we demonstrate that we are truly sorry for our sins. St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated with leprechaun visits, tasty snacks, and a green dress down day benefitting MCA.
Prayer Pals worked together on St. Patrick’s Day lessons, including how St. Patrick used the shamrock to teach the Trinity. Art classes have been working with Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Blank on a variety of special projects, including learning about textures, creating owl portraits and Egyptian masks.
Our Music teacher, Mrs. Sands, is hard at work preparing our students for the upcoming Spring Concert! OMPH School has two new clubs running this Spring as well: Rosary Club and Strategic Game Club. Do you know a family who would benefit from a faith-filled education at OMPH School? Send them our way!
