Frequently Asked Questions

How will we communicate with parents during the week?

OMPH School Summer Camp will be using the ClassDojo app to communicate with parents.  We encourage all parents to sign up to receive important messages and highlights from the day.  Once you have registered for camp, a link to connect will be emailed to you.

If you need to contact a camp staff member during camp hours, please call 717-380-0521.

Can campers bring cell phones or other electronic devices?

We encourage campers to fully immerse themselves in the camp experience by leaving technology devices at home. However, if a camper must bring a cell phone for specific reasons, it should remain in their bag during camp hours. This ensures they stay engaged in activities and make the most of their time with us!

What will be provided?

Campers will receive a camp t-shirt, tote bag and 1-2 snacks per day.

Do I need to provide lunch?

Yes, you will need to provide lunch and a water bottle for your child.  The camp will provide 1-2 snacks per day.  If your child has a special diet or allergy, please make sure they bring a snack with them. On Fridays, campers are offered a lunch provided by the OMPH School Summer Camp program.  Occasionally our campers will be making their own lunch in our “cooking series,” while other weeks our lunch is provided by volunteers.

What is an on-campus adventure?

An on-campus adventure may be a walk outside to our field of dreams or the grotto.  We will stay on the OMPH campus. Please remember to apply sunscreen on your child in the morning.  If you would like to send sunscreen to be reapplied midday, please label your container with your child’s name.

What is an off-campus adventure?

OMPH School Summer Campers will take at least one field trip per week.  A signed permission slip will need to be completed in order for your child to participate in the field trip.

What will my child need for water activity or pool days?

We will announce in advance water and/or pool days. On these days, please send a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen and water shoes. A signed permission slip will need to be completed in order for your child to participate in pool activities.

We can’t wait to welcome your child to a summer filled with discovery, growth, and fun. Come join us for a season of faith and fellowship!
